When I first saw Kate A's Under the Sea Birthday Bash, I was blown away by all the amazing details.

I see a party like this and I want to know the story behind it. So I approached Kate and asked if I could do a spotlight feature on her party. I sent her a list of questions, and here's her story...

A balloon shop opened up down the street from me in Santa Monica called Balloon Celebrations. Mind you, this isn't just any balloon shop. It's the balloon shop that does all the celebrity parties and movie premieres in LA. Therefore everything they do is BIG.

I saw Brenda F's Backyard Carnival Party and almost flipped. The attention to detail was amazing. Then I discovered she pulled the whole thing off on a budget of $464 for 70 people. That's about $6.50 per person.

The party went off without a hitch!!  Lainey had a great time, we had a great time.  It was a lot of work, but well worth it.  Here are some pictures to show you what it looked like.

Setting up before the party.  Everything was in Lainey's favorite colors -- pink and purple.  The day couldn't have been more beautiful and if you look in the distance, you'll see the ocean.
