We were asked by Godiva to throw a little truffle tasting party (and trust me, there was no arm twisting for this request). Godiva sent us their "Nut Lovers Truffle Flight" and since I'm a nut and chocolate freak, I couldn't have been more pleased. For the tasting, they asked us to pair each truffle with a food or drink that we thought would work well together. My husband, David and I, got our thinking caps on.
I set up a buffet for the tasting with all the truffles and pairings lined up.
Mother's Day is this Sunday, so here are some photos I picked from the many gorgeous parties on our main site to inspire you for your own Mother's Day celebrations!
Mother's Day is such a feminine holiday, so I'm definitely feeling lots of pinks. Also, don't forget the three beautiful free Mother's Day printable collections we're giving away on our site.
Last week, Glam Media sent us a "party pack" filled with fun party supplies, and Bacardi sent us two bottles of their new Piña Colada and Mojito Classic Cocktails Light so we could style a "Shiny Chic" cocktail party.
We wanted to try something new, so we decided to make piña colada and mojito gelées! What's a gelée, you might ask? Well, it's fancy way of saying "Jello shot."
We're starting a new feature called "Tips from A Catch My Party Member," where members of our community give tips on how they made certain items (foods, crafts, decorations, etc.) for their parties.
Today's feature is all about macaron towers, because if you checked out our recent dessert table post, you know that macarons have become quite a popular item.
When I was browsing through the photos of Leslie I's Toy Story 4th Birthday I saw this cool rocket ship pizza tray she made. I posted about it on Facebook, and a couple of people commented that they'd love to see a tutorial. Well, here it is! Thank you, Leslie, for putting this together!
My original inspiration for the rocket ship tray was the whole idea of recreating Pizza Planet and Buzz Lightyear's space ship. Over Christmas, I'd seen Bird Craft's tutorial for her DIY cupcake stand, and used a similar method for the centers of the rocket ship.
