PLEASE NOTE: This isn't round or oval, especially not in the top 7 inches. Backside of top diamond is smooth and comfy against the palm, and fingers can wrap around to grip the ridge in the middle of the diamond, or the depression on either side of the ridge.

Thus, even though the dimensions show this having a wide top diameter, I don't think it'd be comfortable for XL hands, and is not conducive to a rope wrapped handgrip.

5th PHOTO: is of a 14 yr old boy holding it, although he is 5'8'', but his hand muscles aren't fully worked, if you know what I mean.

Great as a handheld prop for theater and Halloween witch and warlock costumes, for hiking or camping trips, as well as every day use to help you get around, taking pressure off your knees, hips, etc.. Make a great substitute for a walking cane, too.

GIRTH: Hand grip girth is best for a Small, Med or Lg ADULT HANDS (determined by what size work or winter glove you wear), as it is now.

HOWEVER, we can often sand it down to make it thinner so it fits your hand size better, at no charge.

MAX. WT. 300 LBS: This heavy duty diamond willow wood walking stick can hold a lot of weight__whether one is just a little overweight or severely obese, you can count on this sturdy hiking staff.

HAS CURVES: This walking staff has a few curves, making it extra intriguing, but the stick stands straight for the most part and works great. (I use one all the time and can veryify that crooked hiking sticks work great and have marvelously charming character.)

No stains, paints or colors added__just fives coats of clear poly finish. The natural colors are spectacular, looking so much better in person than I'm able to capture with photos.

DIAMONDS:
Covered with an exceptional array of diamonds, with all sorts of wonderful twisting curves and a variety of tan, caramel, dark brown and reddish brown colors.

This stick has a few particularly deep diamonds (difficult to capture in photos) that are beautiful alone, and perfect for embedding more stones or charms into them, if you wish.

RAILING:
Has a bit of highly coveted, unique and rare semi_railing effect, where the diamonds become one with the wood and twist and turn the wood due to spalding/spalting.

Some "diamonds" even stick out like an ear, where you could pinch both sides, and maybe lace or pierce something through them.

A very unique piece with great character.

This walking staff is a OOAK (one of a kind) item made from native northern Minnesota diamond willow tree, and handcrafted by me, a local, experienced artisan.

WE CAN SHORTEN, at no charge. We'll happily cut it down for you. Just let us know the length you want. Measure twice and we'll cut once.

SIZE GUIDE: For FLAT terrain, or rolling hills and groomed trails, a walking staff should be about 4-6" above the elbow, or a few inches below the shoulder. For HILLY terrain, a stick that's shoulder height or even a few inches above the shoulder is often preferred to help when descending.

I'm guessing at wt. limit. I'm "only" 200 lbs. and test each stick just by trying to bend it to make sure it's sturdy, but I don't run and jump with it. Wood does age, so be sure to inspect your gear regularly before use.

I'd be happy to guide you toward sticks in our shop that are thicker, OR we most likely have one such stick in stock but just haven't listed it yet. Or I could cut a few inches off a walking stick you like, as that always makes it stronger.

DISCLAIMER: Since this is wood, and we're not a factory, I make no guarantees about the future condition of this walking stick, but CAN GUARANTEE it was strong without any large cracks when I harvested, cured, coated, listed, and packed it for shipping after it sells, inspecting it at each step along the way. However, PLEASE INSPECT ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT before each use to make sure no cracks or weaknesses have developed over time. Stay safe!

Wood burned engraving is done by hand, not by a machine. You can add up to 30 characters.

WRIST STRAP

Strap is approx. 13 in. when open, and 6 in. when closed, with extra long tassels you can cut yourself after you adjust to fit. Some people add charms or beads to the tassels, or just leave them plain.

Strong, braided wrist straps are made of 550 paracord or soft genuine leather suede.

Suede is real leather, and is a THINNER strap, just 2/8'' - 3/8'' wide, and the 550 Paracord lanyard is THICKER at approx. 3/4''-7/8'' wide.

PLEASE MESSAGE ME ASAP after purchase to tell me WHERE you want me to drill the hole and attach the wrist strap.

IF WE DON'T HEAR FROM YOU:
__ I'll put it where I think seems best, depending on the diamonds and stick width, and assuming the end user's shoulder height matches the height of the stick that's purchased.

HOW WRIST STRAP ADDED
__ hole drilled, sanded and then coated with clear poly
__ lanyard threaded through hole and tied loosely (so you can easily untie and adjust it before you tighten the knots for good).

HAND GRIP

I didn't put that as an option on this walking stick because there are either gorgeous bumpy diamonds in the way, and those bumps and shapes act as a grip themselves, helping you hold your stick even if you're sweating or it's raining. Or it's not round or oval enough to add a wrapped handgrip

HOWEVER, I can often make it more round (and thus a bit thinner) by sanding it down a bit, at no extra charge, so it fits your hand size better and is more conducive to a rope wrapped hand grip.
