Let us add a paracord rope wrapped handle to a hiking staff you purchase separately from us.

NOTE: Hiking stick NOT included; walking staff must be purchased separately.

The cord hand grip is made of about 15 ft. of 550 paracord or braided rope that can be removed if needed for emergency survival uses__although it might be a little stiff at first since I coated it with wood hardener. It will become more pliable the more you handle, bend and use it, though.

Sticks in photo are just examples. Yours will be different.

3. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please message us first and tell us your height to see if the hiking stick you purchase from us is suitable for a paracord hand grip. It's rare, but some of our hiking poles have twisted wood and indented or protruding diamonds in just the place where you'd like to grip the staff, and would NOT be suitable for a paracord grip...but my hubby can often grind it down in that spot so it's more round and comfy, before adding the hand grip rope wrap.

HOW CORD GRIP ADDED

__ sometimes groove dug/sanded into staff (to make it more round)__depends on what the stick calls for
__ hiking staff then given several coats of polyurethane where the groove was sanded down
__ after clear coating dries, cord is simply wrapped without knots, tightened on top of initial and ending strands
__ sometimes I put a small stud on the top and bottom ends to help hold them in place
__ wrapped grip is then given several coats of wood hardener on top of the paracord until it's soaked and coated good
__ yes, you can untie the paracord and use it--it will just be a little stiff at first

HANDLING TIME
Due to high quality, non-rushed processing described above, adding a paracord hand grip to your walking stick "MAY" add an extra 1 day onto the handling time of the staff you purchase.

So...we'll bring it to the post office within 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS. (Most of our listings have 1-2 day handling, but this will require a day for the wood hardener and any poly to dry.)
