💠 INLAID: The following 5 polished stones have been artfully inlaid into this walking stick to give this already amazing piece for a little extra flair:

1 tumbled hematite star
1 round blue fibrolite, or ''cat's eye''

♦ The stones are not in a place where one would rest their palm so they don't compromise your comfort.
♦ Pa (m'hubby) use a cane daily and can assure you that neither the diamonds nor the stone inlays impede the grip. Rather, they make a great finger grip or hand guide so you always can tell if your hand is in the right place on the handle without looking at it.
♦ Besides being a finger guide, they also gives the thumb something to fondle, like a worry stone or fidget spinner ;)
♦ All inlays are embedded into a carved indent, and then secured with epoxy glue.

♦ DIAMONDS: Covered with an exceptional array of natural wooden diamonds 💎 with all sorts of wonderful twisting curves and a variety of tan, caramel, dark brown and reddish brown colors.
♦ SOME DEEP...This stick has a few particularly deep diamonds (although it's difficult to capture the many curves and forms in the photos--but they're there,) so I feel I must mention it. They're beautiful alone, and also perfect for embedding more stones or charms into them, if you'd wish.
♦ SPALTED RAILING: Has highly coveted, unique and rare 🦄 semi_railing effect, where the diamonds become one with the wood and twist and turn the wood due to spalding/spalting.
♦ SOME PROTRUDING...Some "diamonds" even stick out like an ear, where you could pinch both sides, and normally I'd say you could maybe lace or pierce something through them, but there's a stone inlaid a bit too close to the edge for you to add another hole on this one.
♦ INSECT MARKINGS: Has several/a few insect and/or worm hole markings on this stick.
_ Worm and other insect markings are somewhat rare 🦄 and are actually coveted, as they help create a unique design, character to the stick, and add another dimension to the story of how efficient nature works. 🦗🦟🐛
_ The worms or insects have long disappeared, usually before I harvest or for sure 💯 during/after I dry my sticks INSIDE OUR HOME 🏡 for several months, then sand and coat with poly.

This walking cane is a OOAK (one of a kind) item made from native northern Minnesota diamond willow tree, and handcrafted by me, a local, experienced artisan.

♦ As a GENERAL rule, walking canes should be about elbow height or 2-4" below...give or take a few inches.
_ But preferences vary, sooo.....
_ If you've never had a walking cane, measure while wearing 👞🥿walking shoes, have your arms hang at your side. Note where your elbow is at. Measure from the floor to your elbow, and subtract a couple of inches.

✨ WE CAN SHORTEN, at no charge. We'll happily cut it down for you. Just let us know the length you want. Measure📏 twice and we'll cut once (then sand and coat with clear poly).

🌿🌿🌿 ABOUT MAX 400 lbs.🌿🌿🌿
♦ This could maybe hold more weight, but I'm just guessing at wt. limit. I'm "only" ~200 lbs. and test each stick just by trying to bend it to make sure it's sturdy.
♦ Most of my walking sticks have a weight limit of 350 lbs. but this is just a tad (1/8") thinner than I'd like.

♦ Strong, braided wrist straps are made of 550 paracord, soft genuine leather suede or braided jute rope.
♦ Suede is a THINNER strap, just 2/8'' - 3/8'' wide, and the 550 Paracord lanyard is THICKER at approx. 3/4''-7/8'' wide.
♦ Strap is made of 8-10 ft of cord, suede or jute and is approx. 13 in. when open, and 6 in. when closed, with extra long tassels you can cut yourself after you adjust to fit.
♦ Some people add charms or beads to the tassels, or just leave them plain.

💠 BENEFITS OF A WRIST STRAP
♦ Ensures you don't drop your cane if you lose your grip
♦ Allows you to let go of your walking stick without dropping it if you need to use your hand for something else
♦ Hang your cane on a coat hook when you get indoors
♦ You could cut or untie the strap (but not too easily) and use it for many camping/survival uses (too many uses to list here). Paracord has 7 inner strands that are very useful, as well.

💠 HOW IT'S BRAIDED
♦ I braid the paracord lanyard myself with a loose sinnet cobra knot made of 4 strands of cord (4 strands in tassel). Ends are slightly burned after cutting to seal them, so inner strands of paracord don't ride up, or so poly doesn't unravel.
♦ Wife braids the soft, strong, brown suede leather with a simple braid of three strands (6 strands in tassel).

💠 HOW WRIST STRAP ADDED
...TO BRACED HANDLED CANES:
♦ O-ring or D-ring added by first drilling and gluing in a metal pin near the corner where brace meets handle (this prevent strap from sliding down the brace, out of reach)
♦ lanyard threaded through hole and tied loosely (so you can easily untie and adjust it before you tighten the knots for good).

♦ hole drilled, sanded and then coated with clear poly

PLEASE INSPECT 🕵️‍♂️🔎 ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT before each use to make sure no cracks or weaknesses have developed, since wood does change over time.

♦ Bring it inside when you're not using it, and maybe wipe dirt or water off of it with a dry cloth or damp cloth if needed....when you can.
♦ These are made for the outdoors, but the clear poly is not UV tolerant like marine epoxy.
♦ Being left outside for a little while every now and then is no big deal. I've had the same stick I use daily for many years, and I leave it out sometimes--just not too often.
