I was asked by Jelly Belly to style a 30th birthday dessert table that would be fresh and fun and filled with awesome jelly bean birthday party ideas.
My inspiration was their Cocktail Classics line of Jelly Belly beans, because who doesn't want to serve fancy cocktails at their 30th birthday?
Here are the flavors in their cocktail assortment: mojito, pomegranate cosmo, peach bellini, margarita, piña colada, and strawberry daiquiri. Cool, right? I love the playfulness of grown up cocktails mixed with the fun of Jelly Belly jelly beans.
To set up my table, I purchased cocktail glasses. I displayed them front and center, so my guests would get the playful vibe of the party as soon as they walked in.
I asked Michelle from Printabelle to design an entire set of free gold and polka dot birthday party printables to give the party style. We went with dots in the colors of the Cocktail Classic jelly beans and gold text. We wanted the collection to feel festive and classic.
We made the cocktail menus and tented cards editable, so you can type in your own cocktails and food items before printing. Scroll down to see the entire collection.
I then asked Arianna from Crokantie Bakery to design some signature desserts to feature the Cocktail Classic jelly beans. The challenge was to make desserts that were pretty and feminine, but didn't skew too young.
I love what she came up with. The cake has a flower on top with gold accents and jelly bean swirls along the side.
The cake pops are outlined in jelly beans at their bases.
And the cookies have Jelly Belly jelly bean flowers and 30s on them to pull in the theme.
I also filled apothecary jars with my three signature Jelly Belly Cocktail Classic flavors -- margarita, piña colada, and strawberry daiquiri. This added height to my table.
I love how the desserts and jelly beans complemented each other.
To give my party some added sophistication, I chose gold as my accent color. I covered two foam core boards in gold brocade fabric as my backdrop and added a huge "30" in gold mylar to bring in some serious "wow."
And of course, I would never let my guests go home empty-handed. I thought these champagne flavored jelly beans in little Jelly Belly Champagne Bottles was the perfect touch for a party favor.
We even have thank you cards in our printable collection to print out and attach to each one. Don't they look cute?
Happy 30th birthday!
