How To Make Minions Cookies
The new Minions Movie is opening July 10th, and in celebration, I'm sharing how to make Minions cookies that are easy, and I'm showing off these cute Bounty Minions Print paper towels and paper napkins that will be in stores shortly.
So to make your easy Minions cookies...
Supplies: (I've added affiliate links, but they won't cost you a thing, promise)
- Yellow Candy Melts
- Blue Candy Melts
- Keebler Vienna Fingers
- Betty Crocker White Cookie Icing
- Wilton Candy Eyeballs
- Wilton Decorating Gel in black
- AmeriColor Gourmet Writer in black
Dip each cookie into the yellow chocolate and use the side of the bowl to smooth it out. You don't need to coat the entire cookie, just the top.
Lay out your cookies on a cookies sheet covered in wax paper. You can stick them in the fridge for 15 minutes to harden.
Next, melt the blue candy melts in the microwave, and dip the other end of the cookie into the blue chocolate. Leave more yellow than blue because Minions have big heads.
Don't be surprised if your chocolate gets messy. I just kept my roll of Bounty paper towels next to me so I could continually wipe my hands and table as I worked.
Squirt two little dots of white Cookie Icing on the front of the cookie and affix the eyes. I tried to use a little extra icing so it would bleed out to look like the frames of the glasses.
Using your Wilton Decorating Gel, draw the sides of the eyeglasses.
You can either use the Wilton Decorating Gel to draw hair, or I used my AmeriColor Gourmet Writer which was easier to control.
I love the way they turned out and so did my daughter. When she saw them after camp, she told me I was the coolest mom ever!! (Then she noticed the Minions Prints paper napkins and paper towels and totally forgot about me.)
But, when I asked her to set the table last night, she jumped at the chance to use the Minions Prints napkins. At least Minion power has some positives. :)
I must admit, the paper towels do look cute in my kitchen and they do make cleanup a tiny bit more fun.
This post is sponsored by Bounty but all the ideas are ours. Thanks for supporting us and our sponsors, so we can bring great content to you!
