Melissa and Kellie have added some exquisite parties to our site, and they have a great party design blog where they post many DIY tutorials.

My favorite kinds of parties always have a personal touch. So when I recently ran across these two grown up party ideas -- a "favorite things" party and a "cookie swap" party -- I had to post about them.

I'm loving Ticings, which are edible icing appliqués that can you can use on cupcakes, cakes, cookies, brownies, you name it. You just peel them off like little stickers and press them onto your dessert.

Nicole, who threw the lovely Magical Cornish Fairy Affair for her daughter, created these fabulous lollipop topiaries as part of her dessert table.
