I just started a team on Etsy called Catch My Party. It's open to ANY Etsy shop owner who sells party related products AND  who joins the free Catch My Party vendor directory.

I'm also kicking off our first Etsy Team Designer Challenge for the holidays.  The theme is "snowflakes."

We currently have over a hundred wonderful entries in our Snowflake Design Challenge. Take a look at the entries so far.

If you are not an Etsy vendor, you can still enter. Just email me photos of your snowflake themed products (at jillian(at)catchmyparty(dot)com) and I'll add them to the group! This challenge is open to anyone who designs party-related products. If you are an Etsy vendor, make sure to tag your items “CMPsnowflake.”

When I realized that Caroline B made these adorable favor bags for her daughter Taylynn's 5th Birthday, I had to ask her if I could repost her tutorial. Wait 'til you see how simple it is. I could totally do this!

For the party favors we had lots of goodies so I wanted cute bags for the guests to put their things in. I made these bags for the girls, and they were so easy.

I first saw glitter tattoos at the Egyptology 8th Birthday Nicole W threw for her daughter. For party favors, Nicole applied glitter tattoos to her guests. I thought they looked cool, but didn't quite get how they worked.

Then I read Nicole's blog post, where she described the process and explained where to buy everything. So to try it out, I ordered this set from Glimmer Body Art for my daughter for Christmas.

The party went off without a hitch!!  Lainey had a great time, we had a great time.  It was a lot of work, but well worth it.  Here are some pictures to show you what it looked like.

Setting up before the party.  Everything was in Lainey's favorite colors -- pink and purple.  The day couldn't have been more beautiful and if you look in the distance, you'll see the ocean.

We're starting a new feature called "Tips from A Catch My Party Member," where members of our community give tips on how they made certain items (foods, crafts, decorations, etc.) for their parties.
