Pat from Zperfect Party emailed me about a simple graffiti wall she put up at her recent graduation party and found it to be a huge hit. I love this idea!

All she did was found some rolled black paper, attached it to the wall with colorful duct tape, and handed the kids some chalk.

The idea behind these photo backdrops was to bring some element of skate parks to my big boy's skateboard party. The inspiration was the wired fences you see at skate parks, and I used it to hang pictures of his past birthdays. This photo backdrops got lots of attention at the party!

We don't have a lot of mosquitoes here in Northern California (thank God!), but I remember those buggy nights in New Jersey when I was growing up, and how we'd go out to a summer party, and I'd come home with my body covered in bites. So when I found this DIY on making homemade citronella candles on Garden Therapy, I had to share.  What a great idea!

The best part of this tutorial is that it explains how to add additional scents to your candles like eucalyptus, rosemary, peppermint, and oregano -- other smells bugs don't like, that aren't just citronella.
