I love summer. I love the warm weather, the long days, and hanging out with friends and family. I also love taking trips. We're actually on our whirlwind summer trip right now to visit my family on the East Coast.

I'm writing this post from my hotel  room in NYC.  I put together this collage of some highlights of our NYC trip so far:

The COOP is a cool modern playspace in Los Angeles that not only entertains kids, but doesn't forget the parent (can you say "cappuccino bar"?).

Mindy, the baking and entertaining expert behind Creative Juice, made these delicious raspberry shortbread bars and I couldn't help but share!

I'm a self confessed chocoholic. So when my husband mentioned a few weeks ago he and my daughter were talking about baking chocolate cookies, I was not going to let them forget it.

Baking is one of our favorite family activities, so when we don't have a busy weekend, we like to create in the kitchen.

I've been asked to write a post by Quaker Oatmeal about how I reward myself everyday and maintain a healthy, happy lifestyle. As a mom, staring my own company, my days are pretty hectic.  I feel like I'm always switching gears and changing hats.
