Finally, finally. Now that my daughter and I have both recovered from being sick and I've returned from Bloggy Boot Camp, I'm finally able to post photos of my daughter's 4th mermaid birthday.

Here is my daughter with her fairy princess hat. She debated wearing a mermaid costume, but ultimately fell in love with this dress. The face paint was of her own design. Every Friday, the children at my daughter's preschool are able to paint their own faces, hence the face painting you'll see on the other little guests.

I fell in love with this Tutu Cute Glam Elmo party Noelle W of Sweet Craft Cakes threw for her daughter's 2nd birthday. I also fell in love with the tulle skirt around the dessert table. We've been seeing a lot of them recently on our main site, but I had no idea how easy they were to make. Here's how Noelle put it together...

I saw this pom pom backdrop Sarah Y of Sheek Shindigs made for her Hello Kitty Inspired Birthday Party and I loved it!!  What a fuffy, colorful way to make a statement! I asked Sarah if she would put together a tutorial and she so graciously said yes. Thank you, Sarah!

Pom pom backdrops are super easy, very inexpensive, and so versatile. These can be used as a backdrop for a dessert table, art on the wall to add to your parties decor, or as a "photo booth" backdrop.

I saw these darling homemade party hats on Robyn B's Peyton's Sweet Shoppe Party and had to know how she made them.
