Paint Swatch Banner DIY

Kristen and Missy from Sweetly Chic Events & Designs, are here sharing a paint swatch banner DIY that is so easy to make, and can be personalized using any colors you like from the paint swatch section of the hardware store!

Creating your own party decorations is always a fabulous option for any event, especially when you’re on a budget! A simple way to bring in your color palette and add a unique and custom design element is to create your own paint swatch banner! Follow our simple steps to create your own paint swatch banner in minutes!

Supplies:

• Paint swatches from the paint store
• Ribbon
• Hot glue
• 2” circle punch
• Scissors

1. Gather your supplies, selecting colors to match your event decor (we opted for a light pink and mint combination). We also selected a 2 inch hole pinch but you can use any size!

2. Cut your ribbon to the length you need, we cut ours to 5 feet.

3. Next gather your paint swatches. We chose large Panatone squares to accommodate our 2 inch punch.

4. Begin punching your swatches, being careful to steer clear of any wording on the front of the swatch.

5. Be sure to punch 2 swatches for each circle you’d like to include on your banner as there will be a front and a back to each circle. This should leave you will plenty of punched swatches for your banner!

6. Next, turn one of your punched swatches over and secure your ribbon with a dab of hot glue.

7. Now, add another punched swatch to the other side of the circle, leaving it colored on both sides.

8. Repeat step 7 until you have the desired amount of paint sample circles on your banner.

Voila! You now have an inexpensive, custom and simple piece of decor to display at your next event! This could easily be done in holiday colors or even white for a wedding! Enjoy your brand new banner!
