I thought it would be fun to throw a party where the main activity was to let my friends create their own pizzas. I love activities at parties, especially if they involve food. I think it creates a playful vibe, easy conversation and lots of laughter.
I printed out this awesome set of pizza party printables from our site, with every topping label imaginable, plus a whole host of other decorative goodies. You can download the whole free pizza party printables collection here.
The DESIGN A PIZZA kits come in three varieties:
- Pepperoni and Sausage with Peppers & Onions
- Chicken, Green Peppers & Red Onions with Pepperoni
- Spinach, Tomato & Red Onion with Pepperoni
Here are the pizzas right out of the box, with all the ingredients in separate pouches.
Here's my invitation.
I held the party on my back patio. I covered my big table in white butcher block paper to make it feel like a work space.
I put the two frozen pizzas on upside down disposable cookie trays. Then I put out all the toppings in little glass bowls with their corresponding tented labels. I printed out some of the other decorations, and of course, didn't forget the beer and wine.
I was so excited when my friends arrived.
They loved the set up, and it didn't take them long to find their creative spirits.
Voilà, a beach ball pizza and a... sort of abstract pizza with lots of meat and very few veggies. :)
And here we all are enjoying our pizzas. They were super cheesy with a thick crunchy crust, and the toppings added a nice mix of salty, smoky, crisp, and fresh flavors. Plus, I think the fact that we created them ourselves made them extra delicious.
And because you can't throw a pizza party without cupcakes, here are the chocolate ones I served for dessert.
