As I've mentioned before, I'm on a strict budget for Adelaine's party and the rule at my daughter's preschool is you have to invite the whole class. That means I'm throwing a party for 60+ people. Yikes.

I'm loving the trend of Mad Scientist parties. They work for a boy or a girl, the experiments are cool (plus they're a built-in party activity), and they celebrate the geek in all of us.

Who doesn't love the book, A Very Hungry Caterpillar? Well it shows in these incredible Very Hungry Caterpillar parties we've seen on our main site. Here are some of my favorite details from each party...

We've just added "dessert table" to the showcase section on everyone's party page. When you're adding a new party (or editing an old one), please drag a photo of your gorgeous dessert table into the "dessert table" box.

One of my daughter's all-time favorite shows is Yo Gabba Gabba. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's a trip. It's got these giant characters who live in Gabba Land, a DJ puppet master named DJ Lance Rock, and A-list guest stars including Jack Black, Andy Samberg, Mya, Tony Hawk, Elijah Wood, and others.

What's great about Yo Gabba Gabba as a party theme is that it can work for a girl or a boy, it's got a wonderful color pallet, and there's awesome music.
