I spend a lot of time writing about kids' parties, so I thought it was only right to show off some of my favorite grown up parties. Check out how original and creative these are!

Creative Girl Productions' Hip Hop 80's Party -- The money backdrop is so perfect and the birthday boy looks totally authentic in that photo.

For those of you who don't know (and I didn't know until these parties starting popping up on our site), Ninjago is a line of ninja Legos that are very popular with boys 7-14. There's a whole immersive world of minifigures (heroes, creatures, and skeletons) to draw on to put a Ninjago party together! Baking and cooking are two of my favorite things to do, so I'm excited that baking and cooking parties have become a major trend on our site.

What's great about them is the built-in activity, the fact that your guests don't go home hungry, and these parties are easy to personalize!

Melissa Newell from My Party Passion and our budget party contributor, threw her son the Ultimate Nerf Party.  Not an easy theme to do, but Melissa found inspiration in unusual places. Read her whole story below:

I don’t know about you, but it’s easy breezy chicken peazey to find girl themes for birthdays, however, much more challenging to find a boy -- preteen no less -- theme.
