Who's ready for Mardi Gras? Here's an easy way to celebrate, just do it with Jell-O. Your family and friends will love this!

If you are hosting a grown up party, you can also add a little alcohol to bring some "adult" fun.  So even if you can't go to New Orleans this year, you can still party it up!

  • Lime Jell-O
  • Lemon Jell-O
  • Whipped cream
  • Purple, yellow, and green sprinkles
  • 2 oz shot glasses
Mardi Gras Jello Ingredients |

The best method I have found for making any type of layered Jell-O dessert is the speed set method. We will start with the lemon Jell-O.

Heat ¾ cup water to a boil (microwave for approximately 4 minutes). Dissolve Jell-O in hot water. Add ice cubes until the liquid reaches 1 ¼ cup.

Stir for an additional minute and remove any ice cubes that did not melt. Pour the lemonJell-O and fill each shot glass ⅓ full. Place in fridge until theJell-O has set.

Repeat the same steps with the lime Jell-O and lastly the grape Jell-O.

It takes about 90 minutes to layer all three colors. Top the Mardi Gras Jell-O shots will whipped cream and sprinkles!

You can get those mini spoons at any party store, maybe even your local grocery store that are the perfect size for eating these festive and delicious Mardi Gras treats!
