Party Recap

What better way to celebrate entering the double digits than to STRIKE 10!!!

INVITATIONS: I wanted a modernized retro-inspired design, so I ordered an invitation template from Etsy. Though it was already designed, I included my own wording and selected the colors of the invitations to match the Bowling Theme.

ATTIRE: My daughter wore a red, sequin baby doll dress from Neon Kisses for her professional photos. She put on white knee socks with black stripes and red sequin tennis shoes. She wore a matching red, sequin scrunchie over her braided bun. Her accessories were a black Pop-It watch on one wrist and a black, white, and striped red/white beaded bracelet on the other wrist; her earrings were sparkly, black studs; and lastly, a black choker. The photos were taken at a bowling alley.
At the party, she wore a red and black Retro 50's bowling shirt with her name embroidered on the front. On the back, the shirt read Let's Bowl with bowling pins and the number 10 inside of the bowling ball. She wore black leggings underneath her black skirt and had on the knee socks, from the professional photoshoot, and her black and red Jordans. She accessorized her look with the black choker and earrings from the photoshoot as well.

Big sis and the parents' shirts were made by a friend. I ordered my oldest daughter a 3/4 length baseball shirt (black with red sleeves) and had the wording Rolling with my homie on the front. "Rolling with my" was in white and "HOMIE” was in red. The "i" in HOMIE was a bowling pin. She wore red earrings, black skinny jeans, and matching black and red Jordans like her sis.

My shirt was also 3/4 length baseball shirt, but the colors were white with red sleeves. My shirt read Queen Pin. "Queen" was in black" and "PIN" was in red. The “i” in PIN was a bowling pin. I wore black jeans and red and white Jordans. The only accessory I had were black earrings.

Dad wore 3/4 length baseball shirt (red with black sleeves). His shirt read “King PIN”. The “i” in PIN was a bowling pin. He had on black jeans and black and red Jordans. He wore a Chicago Bulls baseball cap that matched his attire.

DECORATIONS: Before entering the party room, each guest was able to take photos at the bowling backdrop provided by The Big Event establishment. After photos, guests were directed to the party room. Each guest had a drawstring bowling bag placed on the decorated table near the front entrance of the room. The bags included the following items: a bowling pin water bottle; a bowling pin container with mini marshmallows; a trophy; a certificate; a cupcake decorated with a fondant bowling pin and bowling ball; a bowling ball and bowling pin cookie; and a game card.
The tables were covered with red tablecloths. The plates shaped like bowling balls were placed in front of each guest, along with bowling themed paper cups and napkins. There was a balloon bouquet on the table for the birthday girl. The balloons were tied to a bowling pin bank. The bowling pin bank was gifted to her from the staff.
The cake table was also covered with a red tablecloth. Above the cake table was a picture of a bowling sign that read It's A Party. The bowling themed birthday cake was placed in the center of the table. Additional bowling plates, cups, and napkins were set in front of the cake. Bowling trophies were on the left side of the cake and bowling pin water bottles were on the right side. There was a black basket provided next to the cake table to store all of the birthday gifts.
At home, I decorated a wall with a Happy Birthday bowling banner. She had a bouquet of black, red, and turquoise balloons to match the party theme. Her bowling theme gifts were placed in a bowling bag decorated by me.

FOOD: The bowling league guests received cheese pizza and fries; lemonade and sprite; and a slice of delicious red velvet cake.

ACTIVITIES: They bowled and played games at the arcade.

PARTY FAVORS: Each bowler received a bowling drawstring bag, a bowling pin water bottle, a bowling pin container with marshmallows, a trophy, a certificate, a cupcake decorated with fondant bowling pin and bowling ball, a bowling ball and bowling pin cookie, and a game card.

THANK YOU CARDS: I made the Thank You cards on Vistaprint. I chose a background that was already compiled and added my own wording.
