Party Recap
My daughter has always loved to draw and create (as many young children do!) so it was natural to choose an arts and craft party theme for her birthday this year. We spent lots of time crafting and choosing her decorations together, and many of the pieces on display were created during our mommy and me art classes.
We tried to keep things (more) simple this year. We had the party at home and managed to turn our kitchen and living room into an art gallery and crafting room. It was such a great day, and I think that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. So, so thankful for days like these and the beautiful memories that were created!
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
With the last minute addition of pizza to the menu, we kept it simple this year with a "Create-Your-Own" ice cream sundae bar, chips, fresh "rainbow of colors" fruit tray (of which I unfortunately didn't get a photo), cupcakes, and rainbow birthday cake decorated by the featured artist herself :)
-
What People Drank
Little hugs in as many colors as I could find, and waters.
-
Desserts
Cake & cupcakes. Pallet-shaped lollipops. Ice cream sundaes with the following toppings: chocolate, butterscotch, and strawberry sauce, rainbow sprinkles, peanuts, m & m's, crayon-shaped gummies, bananas, cherries, and homemade whipped cream.
-
Party Favors
The girls went home with a t-shirt, kitty cat painting, and fork doll of their own creation. We also gave them a photo frame for them to decorate along with the supplies to decorate them and a paintbrush ribbon wand.

Activities / Games
The girls designed their own t-shirts, drew and painted their own masterpieces, and fashioned their own fork dolls. There was also sidewalk chalk art and lots of free play. Blindfold drawing was a party game option that I had planned *if* time allowed and *if* I thought we needed something else to do, but in the end everyone was having enough fun without it :)
