Party Recap

An early celebrations for Thanksgiving with family is always a festive way to start this month of thankfulness! Keeping things casual helps the party atmosphere seem relaxed and carefree...just the elements I was hoping for with this little holiday soiree! A rustic feel was perfect for celebrating outdoors one last time before the cold breezes blow...and natural elements kept things simple yet beautiful! The table, set with everyday china, was dressed up with baskets of mums embellished with tufts of baby's breath for a light, airy feel. Sprigs of baby's breath were also tucked into the napkin rings for an easy and dainty detail! Appetizers and first-course goodies also helped the rustic table look grand. Hummus, olives & cheese, and cranberry spread were served up inside hollowed out squash. A beautiful & rustic serving vessel! Butternut squash soup was also embellished with edible toppers with a message for the guests! And sitting on the bread plates was another printed gourd with a Thanksgiving message...these made fun and unique favors! Along side the table was a serve-yourself drink station filled with cider, sparkling wine and sparkling waters. A basket of throws were also sitting near, just in case guests needed to take the chill off! A traditional meal was served afterward, but the simple yet elegant touches helped to make this holiday special! Time together is what entertaining is all about!
