Pancakes & Pajama Party

Our daughter Kamryn turned TWO last fall. I was tr
ying to come up with a fun theme for her party. Je
n,
one of the Hoopla stylists called me and said she h
ad a great idea! Pancakes & Pajamas! It was perfect
!!
Kamryn’s favorite breakfast food is pancakes!
The Hoopla team got right to work and started plann
ing her party. My color inspiration for the party
was hot pink and turquoise from the these adorable
“mini beverage tubs” with the number 2 on them
from
Michaels Stores
I quickly contacted Kim from
The TomKat Studio
about designing me some printables for this theme.
Kim always does an amazing job and came back with t

.
We chose to have the party after hours at our local
children’s museum. Kamryn loves to play here so w
e
thought it was the perfect venue and invited all of
the kids to wear their pajamas. Amber from
Snippets
of Design
made custom pajamas for the birthday girl and her
older sister. The ruffled pajama pants
were so cute!
We served hot stacks of pancakes adorned with a da
rling flag from TomKat Studio , eggs, mini boxes of
cereal with wooden spoons and hot pink ice cream bo
wls from TomKat Studio, and fresh fruit in plastic
cups with a
hot pink cupcake wrapper
, along with orange juice in our
darling mason jars
and milk in our
fun
plastic milk bottles,
perfect for young kids! The adorable straws tags
were the perfect touch for the
polka dot straws
that we used in the milk bottles and orange juice
.
Kamryn’s pancake stack was served on her personaliz
ed melamine plate from
Sweet Mady Gifts
. We
added a pop of color to the guest tables by using t
he polka dot party paper from Smashcake & Co. as ou
r
table runner. Place settings included paper plates
, and polka napkins with a wood fork and every gues
t
received mini bottles of water with a custom desig
ned label from TomKat Studio.
The dessert table was a very simple but cute displa
y. We used party paper from Smashcake & Co. as our
backdrop and we added a cute birthday banner from
the printable collection. We love using the large
birthday balloons at parties so we lined the desser
t table with them.

created the floral
bouquets and filled the jar with cereal to match ou
r breakfast theme. The birthday cake was simply
amazing and designed to match our party printables.
Christina of
4 Kids Cakes
is so talented! She made
the cake and the donut cake pops which were a huge
hit with the kids! The custom pajama sugar
cookies were also a favorite of the kids and Collee
n from
The Sugar Canvas Boutique Bakery
always does
incredible cookie designs! We rounded out the dess
ert table with a variety of donuts in the metal tub
s
from Michaels Stores.
CW Happy Creations
made us a matching pennant banner to use on the fa
vor table and a personalized
monogram pillow for the birthday girl!
Party Favors were a pancake cookie from The Sugar C
anvas Boutique Bakery in
polka dot favor bags
with
a Thank you tag. We love using the ceramic letter
dishes at parties and we spelled the birthday girl’
s
name and guests took home small bags of candy along
with their cookies.

The kids had a wonderful time running around the mu
seum . Our city has a new Children’s Museum and
it was fun to watch the kids and parents enjoy them
selves. The party was made extra special by a visi
t
from my best friend’s daughter Taryn. Taryn just t
urned 16 and had recently been diagnosed with
Hodgkins Lymphona. Kamryn LOVES her and we weren’t
sure if she would be able to make the party as
she had just finished up a round of chemo. Althoug
h she wasn’t feeling well, Taryn surprised Kamryn
and came to the party, pajamas, beanie and all! We
are ecstatic to report that after 6 months of
treatment, Taryn is now cancer free and in remissio
n! We are so thankful for answered prayers!
