OH BABY - A CONTEMPORARY BABY SHOWER WITH A FRESH GREEN AND WHITE PALETTE

This baby shower was planned and designed by party planner to the stars, Aimee Dunn. Her client's sisters who live in different parts of the world contacted Aimee earlier in the year, as they wanted to plan a baby shower for their sister Adeeba in August in Central London.

The brief for the venue was for a garden filled calm oasis with a central location with easy access, and the design to include a green palette. Number Sixteen was the perfect spot and location for London based Adeeba and her husband Hans, with family and friends flying in from overseas. They wanted a dessert table with a wow factor and Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth's Cake Emporium delivered this perfectly! She created a 4 tiered frilled cake with gold leaf and hand painted details as well as delicious cupcakes, cookies, macarons and the cutest cakesicles.

Aimee added in some yellow to soften the palette a little and gold accents for the glamorous mum to be. Wildabout helped to bring the garden to life with the fabulous florals and balloon arch over the pergola and another over the mirrored dessert table. The flowers were a perfect combination of white roses, dahlias, thistles, mixed greenery and other filler flowers. Stationer Plume Design made all the personalised stationery to the table and gift bags, along with personalised ‘Baby Alexander’ balloons from Bubblegum Balloons.

Guests had a wonderful afternoon sipping on peach Bellini’s and being entertained and presented with their own individual likeness by a caricaturist.

Adeeba knew she was having a boy, and in terms of the palette she was looking for something a little fresher and more contemporary than the traditional blue and white for a boys baby shower. They are a very fashionable bunch of sisters with fabulous taste and wanted a fresh and modern feel for the day. As they are also super glam so the gold touches worked a treat.
