Party Recap
We always try to make birthday parties special, but I've never done so much work for a birthday party....and I loved every minute of it :) I researched online for ideas and there were so many I could barely chose between them....so we did a bit of everything ;) Our games consisted of making drinkable potions in glass bottles with cork tops that I ordered online (did you know if you put about 3 Kool-Aid Fun Fizz Drink Drops in a potion bottle half filled with water, put in the cork and shake it, that the cork will shoot about 5 - 8 feet in the air? Well the boys figured that out really quick). Making lip balm, chap stick or lip gloss (with various fixings so it was very comparable to making a concoction. There were arts and crafts consisting of templates I downloaded from a website that is all about Minecraft Papercrafts and coloring books I made for the younger guests. We even had a Pinata that we never got around to breaking because the party had already ran almost 3 hours over and the kids were exhausted! I think I made about 40 papercrafts from the website I mentioned just to use as decorations around the house (many of them went home with the guests). I made Minecraft character papercrafts for each guest that I photoshoped to have their own face on them...the kids got such a kick out of that! One of the things I got the biggest kick out of though, was decorating my sons presents up and Minecraft themed decorations...he had no idea (he even helped me decorate a couple of them)! I'm pretty sure I had just as much fun as the kids on this one...my son told me afterwards that I had outdone myself and he said the party was "epic"...LOL. I couldn't have done it without all of the very creative people using sites such as this one...I'll forever be appreciative...thank you all for sharing your wonderfully creative minds with the rest of us. I just thought I would share our little adventure to show your effort and contributions to one of the best parties my sons said he's ever had :) THANKS!
