McKenzie's Garden Bridal Shower

My beautiful daughter McKenzie left her home state of Washington two years ago to build a life in Tucson with her fiancé Brent. They marry in Tucson this November. I wanted to throw her a very special day to celebrate her imp coming wedding. I can't be there to help her with the wedding planning like I'd love to be able to, I found myself obsessed in every detail of this shower. I wanted it to be absolutely beautiful, full of truly special people and full of joy and memorie. She loved every bit of it.

• What People Ate

  *Miniature bags of a Kale Ceasar salad *Miniature deviled eggs mad from quail eggs *A variety of tea sandwiches -Curry Chicken, Smoked Turkey with homemade Pepper jelly and baguettes spread with homemade herbed cream cheese, shaved cucumbers, watercress and Nastertium flowers *Variety of cheeses and fresh fruits with vases of breadsticks and cheese twists.

• What People Drank

  I set up a very popular Bubbly Bar with fresh fruit accents and a variety of juices to splash and a beverage station with Lemonade with fresh strawberries, Sweet Tea with lemon and lime slices and Strawberry, Mint infused water.

• Desserts

  Incredible hand-made cupcake tower made by a dear friend. These stunning creations were floral, delicate, colorful and incredibly delicious! I also hand-dipped pretzels in white chocolate and made mint Oreo cream cheese truffles drizzled with white chocolate.

• Party Favors

  Hand stamped seed envelopes full of wildflower seeds so guests can "Watch Love Grow".

• Activities / Games

  We played a memory game in which McKenzie paraded through the guests wearing an apron covered in "practical items". Guests had to memorize as many items as possible and then write them down. We also played a fun game of musical "Bride's Boquet". Finally we had blank "Advice" sheets for guests to color and draw on and share words of advice for the bride and groom. These were all out into a keepsake binder.
