Landing Soon!

The mommy to be wanted her theme to be a surprise. She wanted something small and intimate with her family and a few friends. She arrived about 30 minutes early to take pictures. When she walked through the door she was giddy! There was the simplest most beautiful display of planes anticipating the arrival of baby Grey who would be landing soon! As guest arrived they sat at tables dressed with linen and seat covers. Centerpieces were clouds with planes taking off. At each place setting were guest in flight service meals of packaged croissant sandwiches, fruit cups, and cranberry salad. We played games(only won by guys), laughed, did a toast, and opened gifts. Each guest left with customized chip bags, and dipped Oreos with propellers. It was such a sweet party for the sweetest mommy. When everyone left she just sat the table with a big slice of cake smiling. “It was just what I wanted” she said, as she licked the icing off her fork.

• What People Ate

  Pre packaged “airline” food.. Containers were on guest tables at each setting filled with deluxe croissant sandwiches, fruit cup, and cranberry salad.

  Sparkling cider and bottles of water.

• Desserts

  Strawberry shortcake and chocolate cupcakes.

• Party Favors

  Customized chip bags and dipped Oreos with little plane propellers.

• Activities / Games

  Shower games that included “baby sitting.” Everyone was given a baby to take care of while at the shower. If you dropped or placed your baby down somewhere someone else could take them. The person with the most babies at the end won. It was a coed shower and wouldn’t you know no women won any of the games played!
