Party Recap

We wanted a fun, colorful, and unique type of theme to celebrate our little baby girl Isla’s first birthday. We had a few themes in mind, but our fabulous décor team gave us the push we needed to choose our Farmer Market theme for Isla’s first birthday. Of course the perfect spot would be a beautiful white tent overlooking the water and surrounded by greenery at Angelina’s Ristorante.

Jackie Couture Creations and Eva Madeleina from NY worked together with us to create this magnificent event. When we walked into the room, we were completely speechless by the beauty that they created, my eyes filled with tears of happiness. Their unbelievable talent, professionalism, and attention to detail amazed all of our guests who still cannot stop talking about how amazing Isla’s first birthday was.

In addition, I added some finishing touches myself. For example, I ordered orange laser cut invitations from Thistle & Lace Shop and burlap envelopes from Plum Paperie. I added wooden tags that say ISLA and tied it around the invitation with twine. For place cards, I gave it a true farmer market feel by fruits and vegetables as place card holders, with each table having a different fruit/vegetable. For the adult party favors, everyone walked away with a canvas tote bag that they filled with mini pies, jams, honey, sunflowers, and all the fruits and vegetables that they could grab on their way out. The kid’s party favors were displayed in berry baskets and filled with a bunch of goodies.

Once the party started, it didn't stop. First, Isla made her grand entrance riding atop a red wagon to cotton eye joe, appropriate for the theme of the occasion. DJ Alex Edge kept the music going with MC Irina Gleyzer hosting the party and the eventual dance off.

The kids entertainment provided by A2Z Entertainment included a bubble show, face painting, and balloon animals. Of course, no farmers market is complete without a pony ride. Kensington Stables provided the pony.
