Party Recap

I scream, You Scream, We ALL SCREAM for ICE CREAM!!

If that doesn’t give you a hint at what awaits for this fun 3rd birthday, then all the adorable and festive ice cream details sure will! Putting together this colorful birthday party, was like planning a party for myself, a little girl at heart you loves ice cream more than anything, just like the darling Delia.

This birthday party theme is the epitome of a “good time” and perfect for any upcoming summer celebration! With their own pretty ice cream truck, ice cream stand and a show stopping cake Delia and her friends had endless treats to entertain themselves in this ice cream wonderland.

The sprinkle covered photo booth was the perfect spot to snap a photo with giant ice cones and be served a yummy treat. When they weren’t busy stopping by their ice cream buddy’s station, the kiddos were making their own ice cream cones with furry pom poms or coloring fun frozen treats pages.

Now to the grand dessert “Ice Cream Bar” setup!! If the sparkly pink table linen didn’t catch your eye, then the sprinkles, ice cream cone balloons and brightly colored “I Scream for Ice Cream” sign definitely gave everyone the impression that yummy treats were waiting to be enjoyed.

Patty of Patty Cake Bake Me a Cake always does an amazing job with her cakes! And this three tier confection is the kind of ice cream cone accident I think we’d all be happy with. Rice Krispie treat Popsicles, Cake Pop Cones and matching decorated Sugar Cookies made by the talented Melanie of Jamm Events, completed this whimsical display. Let’s not forget those adorable ice cream cone gummy candies!

Each table was perfectly coated in pastel colored linens to match everyone’s favorite ice cream topping, rainbow sprinkles. And if you thought there could be way too many ice cream cones, think again! Vintage milkshake glasses and cones cups were filled with monochromatic pretty blooms of Light Pink Hydrangea, White and Lavender Albatross Mums, White Ranunculus and Pink Angelique Tulips.

But the most adorable details must have been the honeycomb cones and custom Delia Taylor’s mini ice cream trucks spread throughout the party!

This party was held at the end of winter, so having an ice cream stop by with real frozen treats for all the guests would’ve been a bit harder to do. But if you’re having a Spring/Summer birthday celebration and planning this festive theme, then you just have make sure your local ice cream truck stops by, wouldn’t that be soo fun! I know all the kids and adults would just love it!

Day dreams are truly made of Ice Cream!
