My love of entertaining began in high school when I first learned of Martha Stewart. I was inspired by her drive and passion to build a business that encompassed all her creative loves. I was mesmerized by the delicious recipes and beautiful cakes she made look so effortless, but it was the way she transformed every occasion into something special…a classic vanilla birthday cake made with wholesome ingredients or a spectacular garden wedding decorated with unique details. From then on, I fell in love with entertaining and knew I wanted to do it for the rest of my life. --------- Looking back, it was my childhood that prepared me for this passion. I grew up spending my summers living in Portugal, in a tiny farm village in the middle of beautiful forests, where I learned the importance of quality ingredients. That time spent with my family taught me that something as simple as a good homegrown meal was the perfect excuse to celebrate. Whether a midweek barbecue or monthly bread baking afternoon, we were family and grateful to be together, so why not celebrate that.
