Party Recap

After rescheduling our wedding celebration three times and venue location twice due to Covid, my husband and I finally celebrated with friends and family in August of 2021. I knew I wanted to do the staging of the event space and the decor to have a vintage feel, so for a year, I scoured stores in the midwest to find the perfect items. Old books added height to our dessert table. Beautiful pastries were placed upon mirrored, antique trays. Urns and wooden plant stands held gorgeous flowers in shades of pink. What wasn't old was painted and distressed to look as though it had a meaninful history. Lace linens were dyed to give them a slight, vintage look. An old, garden plant stand made of wire held our favors. Lanterns and mercury glass votives illuminated the space. I had a blast planning, shopping and decorating! It was truly a dream come to to be able to see my vision come to life.
