Zara's Vintage Hot Air Balloon First Birthday
ByParty Recap
This was my daughter's first birthday and I wanted to make it extra special. The theme we chose was hot air balloons but we wanted to add a touch of vintage to it, hence all the pretty little Flowers and white mason jars. We started the party with a photoshoot of Zara in her little Hot Air Balloon Basket, and then proceeded to cut the cake and follow with food and drinks for the guests.
The primary color for the theme was mint, and we added a few accents of pink to make it look a little more whimsical and match the cake. The cake by the way was amazing! We picked this design from Pinterest and got our very fabulous cake artist, Lindsey Krist, to complete the design and make it for us.
Everything from the tulle skirt, to the brushed gold cake stand and cupcake platters was made by me. That is something I love to do and thankfully it shows in my pictures :)
