Yer a Wizard, Delaney!

Hogwarts was recreated in St. Louis to celebrate Delaney's 8th birthday! Guests entered through Platform 9 3/4, where they were greeted by the sorting hat, house ties, flying keys, and admission letters. Once guests were sorted into their houses, their wands chose them. Afterwards, guests enjoyed potting mandrakes (with proper ear protection) in Herbology, playing tabletop quidditch, and making prophecy balls in Divination. Cake, golden snitches, Bertie Botts every flavored beans, cookies, and chocolate frogs were all served, along with Butterbeer, for guests to enjoy while sitting in the recreated Hogwarts’ Great Hall.

I found many wonderfully, detailed printable items on Etsy, and was able to have them printed at Kinko's. I also re-used Halloween decorations, and wrapped many of the shipping boxes in kraft paper with a red hot glue Hogwarts seal for additional tabletop decor. I used luggage from Goodwill to put on the trolley for platform 9 3/4.
