Winter’s Tropical Moana 4th Birthday

Party Recap

My daughter (Winter) absolutely loves Moana! The songs from the movie we play in the car and at home all the time. The whole family knows all the lyrics to all the songs! When we asked Winter what themed party she wanted it wasn’t a surprise to hear Moana!

My husband instantly got to work on building a Moana boat sandpit as a surprise for her big day (which he’s not handy by the way so took quite some time to plan and build).

The boat turned out amazing! We bought the Moana costume from the online Disney store which we wrapped and placed in the boat for Winter to find!

I found high quality Moana figurines from TK Maxx and Mr Toys toy store. There’s a lot of average looking, poor quality ones online so I’m glad i found a few great Moana’s, Maui, Hei Hei, Pua and Tamatoa. I used these for the cake and also table/food decorations.

Seeing we went with a tropical Moana theme i found modern Moana bday invites from Etsy and had artwork done for signs, thank you bag tags and chocolates.

I bought Lei’s and leaf headband/wristlets for all the children. These were all bought from Big W.

The cake turned out amazing! We were so happy with it. We had handmade fondant Kakamora and hand painted palms and leaves. It was stunning!

To top off my daughters excitement we had Moana arrive and face paint all the children and then entertained them for a few hours.

Lastly, i couldn’t help myself but hand make some green stone glow in the dark Heart of Te Fiti’s. I placed each of them in a small clear bag with tissue paper and sand.

Was a magical fun filled day!
