Party Recap

A party for my 11 year old son who's birthday is 2 days after Halloween. We wanted something a little wicked spooky and not too cute spooky.

My absolute favorite thing about this party theme is that I can save money (and party brain fatigue!) by simply using the Halloween decorations we usually decorate the inside and outside of the house with.

I made a simple Halloween balloon garland and added some extra spook with some white stretchy cobwebs. I used just a few printables that I'd designed for the party to tie the decorations and the theme together.

We didn't have many people for the party (most of them were family and adult). On the party buffet I made some simple cupcakes and used printable toppers that matched the theme. I also had assorted color-coordinated candy.

We had a light lunch that included mini Mummy pizzas and severed finger hotdogs.

This party was such a fun way to celebrate my son’s birthday and embrace the Halloween season without going overboard.

Even though it was a small family gathering, the decorations, spooky touches, and themed food made it feel special and, honestly, way easier than I expected.
