Whimsical Modern Mermaid Party

Party Recap

My daughter has been wearing glasses since she was four years old. One day, out of the blue, she said to me, "but Mama Princesses don't wear glasses". This statement broke my heart, and I was determined to make a birthday party theme that reflected her more. Together with Jennifer Hobbs, we made custom designs featuring our very own spectacle wearing Mermaid. At the party, the children were given the option of getting a sailor hat and compass, or a sequined mermaid tail. The party activities included playing in the water, completing a treasure hunt, face painting by a Mermaid, and decorating shells. We had a Taco Bar so that everyone could make tacos to their own taste. The meal was topped off with homemade ice cream, and amazing custom made cookies and cake.
