Vintage Valentine's Day (On a Budget)
ByParty Recap
I threw a Valentine's Day party for a friends and family get together. I wanted it to be sweet and vintage, but I also wanted to try to keep it on a very tight budget of around $35.
So, using things around the house and a trip to the Dollar Store, I managed to throw the entire party, including homemade food and favors, for less than $35.
My mission to stay within budget meant getting creative and finding multiple uses for my items.
I used packages of dollar store doilies to serve food, create a banner and dress up mason jars for flowers and drink containers.
I got creative with the food by using two boxes of cake mix to give me three different desserts--cupcakes, a three-layer cake and cupcakes in a jar.
The homemade marshmallow pops were the most popular. At just $5 for marshmallows, lollipop sticks and candy melts, I was able to create two dozen pops.
I had a great time getting creative trying to stay within my budget!
