Bumble bee Maya's Enchanted Garden
ByParty Recap
For my daughter’s first birthday, I wanted to do something special and different. I married my theme when she was born because I grew up watching “la abejita Maya” which translates to ‘bumblebee Maya.” Knowing my theme, I also knew I did not want to do a traditional bee party, I wanted a color palette that had pinks and blues in it as well. I designed the invitation and took it from there. Combining the hive pattern with a floral pattern did the trick and softened up my palette and theme.
With the help of my amazing aunt, we made the florals and slowly the celebration took shape. My absolute favorite part was the hanging umbrellas from the ceiling. Maya loved the fact that they spun!
I love you Maya. Happy first birthday my little busy bee!
