Party Recap

For Rose's 4th birthday she wanted something bright and fun! We picked unicorns and rainbows and really ran with it. While Rose was quite disappointed that all the real unicorns were booked, we settled for dressing up like unicorns and having a unicorn dance party and unicorn races.

I handcrafted penny slider unicorn invites with foil details to set the tone for our fun party. Each of our guests selected a unique unicorn headband and clip on tail. The girls loved getting dressed up and galloping around! I created a painting activity for them by putting decals on hardboard canvases which I later peeled off to reveal a unicorn in their painting, and added their names in glitter heat transfer vinyl. We also played "Ring on the unicorn horn" (which was really just an orange pylon in disguise!), had a dance party, and batted around confetti filled balloons. It's often the most simple ideas that are the most fun at a party!

Our unicorn cake with rainbow layers inside was not only beautiful but unbelievably delicious! Paired with the rainbow coloured brown butter cookie pies we were in sugar HEAVEN! I also made sure our little unicorns had lots of healthy snacks with rainbows of fruits and veggies on hand. I created custom water bottle and juice box labels to go with the theme of the party.

Hi! Where did you get the unicorn decals for the painting activity and how did you stick it to the canvas? Love how it turned out!
