Party Recap
Hope's Under the Sea, Mermaid Party was a huge hit! We turned the backyard into a Mermaid's (or preschooler's) paradise. We had shell painting, bubbles, ocean exploration, a mermaid lagoon, beach, sea horse races, and Urchin (sponge) tag. The kids had a blast "swimming" from one activity to the next. Texas summer's are hot, so having activities for the kids to get a little wet helped them enjoy the outside temps a little better. Since the party was before lunch we had heavy snacks complete with Peanutbutter and Jellyfish sandwiches, bell pepper crab, gold "fish and chips", and plenty of desserts. Starfish cupcakes, chocolate shells and "dinglehopper" cake pops. I purchased cups at dollar tree and put each child's name in vinyl with either a shark or mermaid as the party favor. All of it was made my mom and inspired by Pinterest :)
