Ugly Sweater Party

Pull on a sweater and pull up a chair as we eat, drink and look tacky at an Ugly Sweater Party! This cozy party theme is perfect for all ages and can be customized to celebrate any Winter Holiday!

Our celebration was a palette of pastels with pink as the main accent color. Decorations included wooden Winter houses, bottlebrush trees and printables by Pixels And Pop that featured animals in colorful sweaters.

A white and gold confetti tablecloth was the base of our tablescape with Holiday light paper plates, glass milk bottles with festive printable wrappers and name cards at each place setting. Frosted candle holders surrounded by bottlebrush trees and a sweater garland made for lovely centerpiece.

Party Tip: Decorative garlands, like this sweater one I found at Hobby Lobby, make adorable additions to centerpieces! Just lay them flat and position them in either a circle or rectangle, depending on the shape of your table.

The Holiday Season and sweet treats go hand in hand but we don’t always have the time to bake them from scratch. I recently discovered that the WondershopTM sugar cookies from Target are a fantastic alternative! They are truly little pieces of edible art, which provided additional decor to our dessert table! We also served macaroons that were stacked to form a mini Christmas tree.

Party Tip: Transform a hula hoop into a giant hoop wreath by spray painting it and adding faux foliage to the bottom. We used our DIY hoop wreath as an alternate way to hang banner flags that featured our fun sweater party animals! It also made a fun accent piece above our dessert station (After all, Christmas calories don’t count right?!)
