Tropical Mermaid party in a French West Indies Island

As a wedding and event planner who travels, I had a lot of fun to prepare this special event. Often, when you live in an island, you do not have access to different type of decoration but with a planning ahead, nothing is impossible.
This baby shower is a gift to my country Guadeloupe, a french West Indies Island. A statement that said, yes we can too.

3 months before the events, I contacted different vendors in Guadeloupe using first instagram to identify them to later contact the ones that could work on this special project.

For the cake, cookies, cupcakes and cakepops, I contacted the best cake designer on the Island: Cerise Cake. With her, we worked on mood board, palette colors, style and flavors for the differents cake.

For all decoration that I gathered before leaving New York, I found them at home goods, Marshalls, Etsy to name a few. But I had already some items that I bought for mermaid baby showers or birthday party. So I completed with what I had already acquired.

Everything was packed delicately in my luggages but despite all the efforts I put to make sure the items would arrive n good conditions, my main glitter cake stand broke. I was not able to find the exact cake stand overthere but I bought a transparent one that fitted my need.

Early in the morning, I started to set the table and the balloons that I had prepared the night before.It was a sunny and windy day and everything went fine.
