Party Recap
This was a great low budget party for my baby's 1st birthday. I used old party hats, recycled boxes and packing materials. Everything was homemade.

Budget
Very low budget. Used old party hats and turned them inside out, painted them and then embellished them. Only bought plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and the paper lanterns.

What People Ate
As people showed up, we had a veggie platter, chips, salsa and guac. For dinner/lunch my mom made a Guatemalan Chicken casserole, JOCON. There was a huge salad to go along with it and watermelon cutout in mickey shape.

watching my niece say that it was the best day ever

My two year old going up to the dessert bar and picking out a marshmallow pop, licking it and then putting it back and trading it for another one.

Being able to celebrate my baby with family and close friends.

No, they are not shoe boxes. It is foam packaging that I cut up. I had ordered a mirror and I saved the foam packaging material that came with it. I wrapped them with black or red wrapping paper from Party City. Then I stuck the white circles on them. They are Avery Labels that I had leftover.
