Party Recap

This was a great low budget party for my baby's 1st birthday. I used old party hats, recycled boxes and packing materials. Everything was homemade.

Very low budget. Used old party hats and turned them inside out, painted them and then embellished them. Only bought plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and the paper lanterns.

As people showed up, we had a veggie platter, chips, salsa and guac. For dinner/lunch my mom made a Guatemalan Chicken casserole, JOCON. There was a huge salad to go along with it and watermelon cutout in mickey shape.

Bottled water, iced tea from Trader Joes, Coke

  • Best Moment

watching my niece say that it was the best day ever

  • Funniest Moment

My two year old going up to the dessert bar and picking out a marshmallow pop, licking it and then putting it back and trading it for another one.

  • Most Touching Moment

Being able to celebrate my baby with family and close friends.

  • Best Dressed

    The birthday boy

No, they are not shoe boxes. It is foam packaging that I cut up. I had ordered a mirror and I saved the foam packaging material that came with it. I wrapped them with black or red wrapping paper from Party City. Then I stuck the white circles on them. They are Avery Labels that I had leftover.
