Party Recap

I love, love, love to throw any and all parties throughout the year, but my son’s birthday party is my absolute favorite one. I’m a total DIYer, so I plan at least a year in advance so I can get everything done, but 2020 had different plans, and it threw a wrench in all of my parties, so since we couldn’t have a party last year for our son due to COVID-19, I wanted this year to be special. I typically host HUGE parties, but we opted for two micro parties with close friends who share our precautions with still being safe.

The first party had 7 friends, and the second party had 3 friends.

The kiddos played for a while, and then participated in two fun activities before we had lunch (or dinner). After lunch (or dinner) we finished up the remaining activities before cake and ice cream sandwiches. The parties ended with a candy filled Yoda piñata that all the kids had fun trying to break.

  • Activities / Games

Build a Droid: a cute picture frame made to look like R2D2. I packaged each set of pieces into separate bags, and included the amount of glue dots needed. Each set also included detailed instructions for each step. Jedi Agility Training: a course of "lasers", dodging Stormtroopers, bouncing thru hoops. Bubble Wars: each child was given a small bubble wand to battle the stream of bubbles from the bubble machine. Destroy the Death Star: each child was given a can of silly string to spray at and destroy the Death Star. Jedi Master photos: once each child finished the activities they got their photo taken and received their official Jedi Master vinyl sticker. The photos were then placed in the frames they made earlier. Baby Yoda Pinata: a fun end to the party with lots of candy.
