Party Recap

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Birthday girl, Samantha! Rather than go the traditional princess party route for her 6th birthday, Sam wanted to go a little more classic… Snow White. She had some very specific desires: a cake “with Snow White frosting”, a Snow White “table cover”, Snow White decorations, and a visit from Snow White herself. Natch. Based on the day full of smiles, I’d say we brought her fairy tale to life!
Guests were royally greeted upon arrival and entered to see a Snow White themed snack table. The birthday girl’s initial was magically framed, making sure she took center stage. Using Snow’s attire as inspiration, we created a ballgown style table skirt, topped with blue satin and ties with red bows. Snow White themed décor is hard to come by, so we created them using graphics found on the internet.
A kids table was not only inspired by Snow’s dress again- complete with red tulle bows on the chairs- but was covered with Snow White fabric. Tissue paper poms (from the Dollar Store, too!) were transformed into apple trees and used as centerpieces on the kids table and as a focal point on the snack table.

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Guests snacked on “dwarf sized treats like mini caramel apples, veggies & hummus in decorated cups, marshmallow apple pops, and popcorn in cones with butterflies and birdies. We cut the red wax cover on Babybel cheese to resemble bows—who ever said food can’t be decoration, too? A birdcage held the plates, utensils and napkins and was topped with a butterfly bought from the Dollar Store.

  • What People Drank

A little beverage station encouraged adults to “Pick Their Poison”, while the kids filled Snow White inspired milk bottles with “Wishing Well Water” and “Evil Queen Lemonade.”

  • Desserts

Apple marshmallow pops and a simple cake kept the kids sugared up.

  • Party Favors

The little princesses took home “Sweet Tweets”—birdie sugar cookies, bird whistles and chocolate eggs wrapped up in nests.

  • Activities / Games

Snow White herself came to teach the little girls how to be princesses, read her fairy tale, and face paint. While kids were waiting to get their faces made-up, they decorated their own magic mirrors with gems and glitter stickers, which they could take home.
