Party Recap

I love the look of these amazing, glamorous parties but unfortunately that are not in my budget. I get a lot of inspiration from these parties and then do my best to make a budget version. This party was for my daughter’s 14th Birthday, she decided to keep it fairly low key and asked for a movie by the pool and a sleepover. It all started with the popcorn boxes. I saw them online and they were so expensive, so I decided to make them myself. I bought foam board, masking tape, scalloped borders and balloons from the dollar store. I bought red spray paint and vinyl from Michaels and made the whole balloon arch for less than 20 dollars. I bought the birthday banner on Etsy and had it enlarged at Walgreens, with a 50% percent off coupon the banner cost me $10 dollars total. I then got metallic table fringe from the dollar store and hung it behind the banner to create a curtain effect. All the candy and the caddy’s also came from the dollar store. I made the concession stand banner using my Silhouette and a marquee font, I found online. The popcorn boxes were bought from Amazon, and I used a local baker create the cake and popcorn cupcakes. The marquee name font and film strip were bought from Amazon, as well as all of the items and VIP backdrop for the selfie station. For the favors, I bought all of the popcorn containers at the dollar store and they were filled with bath bombs and bath poufs. Since we had a photo booth, I bought clapboard frames and printed a out photos from the party and put them in the frames as another favor to take home. The girls came dressed to impressed for the photo booth and the went swimming and watched a movie poolside. We then had a fake champagne/ sparkling grape juice toast, cake and opened presents. The girls played games and stayed up way too late but had a blast.
