Edu is a very lucky teenager. His aunts love him so much. And gave him a huge surprise with this 15th birthday surf party. They asked me for a casual-looking beach/hawaiian party and as I love Surf it was a real pleasure to set up the party for them.
I worked the decoration mainly on bright sunset and sea colors, and combined it with green tropical leaves and flowers on pineapples and coconuts, lovely arranged by Merci Bouquet (www.mercibouquet.es). At his arrival, Eduardo received a natural flower Lei (hawaiian necklace). In Hawaii, leis are used in celebrations as symbol of love, honor and friendship.
A delicious white chocolate/mango/maracujá cake designed by Free Heart (www.freeheart.es) presided dessert table. All elements were recycled as I wanted a "brougth by the sea and reused" illusion. And some kind of rustic look.
At 15 you want to be an adult, so I set up a Smocktail Bar with Mojito and San Francisco. It was a huge success. Bottle's labels were hanprinted to maintain the casual look.
The photo booth was a big hit too. Surf boards painted on the theme colors, Hawaiian skirts and necklaces, the party hashtag to find the pics on the social media, etc Polaroids were hung on a "hawaiian shirt clothesline" and guests could choose any as party favor.
"Finca el Cardon" is a big state providing everything you need on events. For our party I choose a zone with BBQ, beachvoley court and dining area. Wood and bamboo construction helped on the desired look for the party.
We had a dance show by "Tiger crew", teenager streedancers, and her teacher directed a class for the guests, Later we filmed the choreography learned with her.
On the whole, it was a colorful and fun party, the guests had a great time and Eduardo loved it.
