Star Wars Theme Birthday Party
ByParty Recap
When my oldest reached a certain age, it was inevitable that there would be party theme requests. We were super excited when he asked for a Star Wars birthday party! Growing up, Star Wars was on repeat in my house so this was a theme I was very familiar with. The party was held at a local gymnastics gym where we could put together a quick set up in one of the party rooms while the kids enjoyed some open gym time. After open gym, guests were welcomed into Jedi Training Camp! We found some great party items in the dollar spot at Target for the table set up and have plenty of “Vader-Ade” for the thirsty Jedi’s. We had about an hour in the party room…just enough time for cake & cookies. Look at these awesome cookies and the darling cake from Inspired Sugar!! Printable cake picks from our Star Wars Inspired collection were added to the cake to create some height. Guests were given favor bags to load up at the sweets station…Hans Solo Rolos, Galaxy Gumballs Light Sabers & princess leia buns were just a few of the selections. The light saber theme continued…candy tubes were filled with lime green sixlets and wrapped with printables to look light sabers. Pretzels dipped in green candy melts were also wrapped in mini light saber printables. The backdrop for this party was so much fun to make. We used a cut piece of pressboard from Home Depot that was painted with chalk paint. Tissue fringe and printables were used to create the look of light sabers. Finally, guests were given themed dry erase boards and mini light wands to take home. The dry erase boards were great because they served as a party favor and as a place mat!
