Party Recap

How do you make a Star Wars party that hasn't been done before? You reboot the theme with a pool party, a galactic sundae station ice cream and a new color scheme!

When asked to style a Star Wars pool party I suggested to my client that we take the theme in a new direction and incorporate some geometric elements and fresh colors. While the birthday boy LOVES the idea of Star wars he hasn't actually seen the films and I will admit that some of the characters and scenes could be a little intimidating for a little one. With this in mind we drew our inspiration from the elements the birthday boy adores (the various space crafts) and focused on interesting shapes and patterns throughout the series, from TIE bombers to the interiors of the Death Star and linked the color scheme to the pool party element of the event. Working in collaboration with Edgehouse Design we created a stunning custom pattern, which was featured throughout the party on decorations, desserts and loot bags, and a unique backdrop which was the star of the show. The birthday boy's one request was a Millennium Falcon on his cake which Blonde Baking Mama brought to life in a galaxy space-scape.Combined with a galactic ice cream sundae bar, bubble sabers, Death Star pinata and pool games, this four year old Jedi had the best birthday.
