Selected as Party of the Day on February 22nd!
Splash of Pink Picnic
ByParty Recap
I wanted to encourage people to have intimate parties with their dear and close friends!
Party planning can be intimidating for some. How much food should I buy? Do I have enough seating? Is this space big enough, and where do I even begin to pick a theme. Obstacles such as these can shy people away from the idea of a gathering before it even begins. However, I believe that if we simplify our plans and keep the event small, our party planning ideas can be executed to perfection!
Attached our images from what a intimate event could look like for any girly girls occasion.
Instead of having a full blown three course meal, try creating small shareable appetizers. Such as a simplistic cheese and fruit plate complete with figs, golden pears, blueberry- cinnamon covered goat cheese, and french bread. Paring this up with a simple spring salad lined with blackberries and lemon zest will satisfy you guest taste buds thoroughly!
I also love when food can be used as decor! These homemade bunt cakes dressed with fresh flowers made the perfect addition to this picnic table and can also used a parting gift to guest in the displayed scallop-edged gift bags .
Also, the Vintage Meringue Cookie Display really helped to support the picnic theme. It looked adorable partnered with the wicker picnic basket!
I combined all these elements with a playful pink color pallet ready for any girly girl to enjoy! Pastel rimmed plates, dainty handkerchief napkins, pink champagne-colored drink goblets, and festive pink pillows all helped to create a cohesive pink picnic theme. However, my favorite element was the ombre floral centerpieces in lace-wrapped vases brimming with fresh carnation buds!
No matter what the occasion is, I hope that you find a reason to celebrate with simplicity!
