Party Recap

During winter’s in Pennsylvania we hop on sleds and go flying down the hill after a fresh snowfall to get that magical feeling of pure joy. The best way to end a sledding afternoon is with hot cocoa and treats! This snow much fun party has a crisp winter white, silver and icy glacier green color palette. A modern boho twist on a winter wonderland theme!

The stage was set with beautiful invitations by Invited by Audriana. A snowflake backdrop with silver palms.

The table was dressed with iridescent and snowflake confetti. The centerpiece was a gorgeous dried floral arrangement from Bohemian Revival Shop in a woven grass vase from Anthropology. A handmade wood bead garland was the perfect boho table runner. Guests received their DIY snow wand party favor when they sat down. Each place setting had a mint green and white marble plate, which reminds me of melting snow! The metallic silver dot napkins and cups added a simplistic modern detail. For a customized touch the wood cutlery was tied with a white and silver snowflake tag and eyelash metallic sliver yarn.

The wood bench added so much character for a cozy spot to chat, enjoy hot cocoa or get a picture! The backdrop had so much texture with the perfect mix of chunky yarn, silver metallic trim, and white plastic fringe. A fun play on words burlap banner described this party perfectly, “snow much fun!” Organic white and silver balloon garlands and a mylar snowflake balloon were the perfect winter detail.

It’s not a party without treats! The cupcakes had edible snowman marshmallow toppers and the popcorn was in snowflake bags! The stunning DIY organic balloon, painted white branches, and dried floral was the perfect boho backdrop. Tutorials can be found on @rustychicdecor Instagram page.

DIYs

Balloon and Dried Floral Backdrop: I used floral wire to create mini balloon garlands and attached them to white plastic fencing. Then I added dried florals and painted palms and berry sticks. Tutorial is on @rustychicdecor Instagram.

Edible Cupcake Topper: I put a snowman marshmallow on a mint green toothpick and tied metallic silver eyelash yarn on.

Yarn and metallic backdrop: I looped yarn, metallic curtain, and plastic white fringe onto jute twine. Then added a “snow much fun” burlap banner.

Snow wand favor: Spray paint wood dowel, tie on trims and hot glue a plastic snowflake.
