Sawyer's Superman First Birthday

This year has been financially difficult, so I knew I had to spend wisely for Sawyer's birthday party. Almost everything was bought online for less than $10 per piece, at the Dollar Store, or was homemade!
The party was 3 hours long, which is kind of long for a first birthday, so I wanted to make sure there were things to do. I bought paper masks from Oriental Trading (during their free shipping deal!) and Hobby Lobby, and I bought markers, glitter glue, and stickers from Dollar Tree. Guests decorated their own masks, then took pictures in the "photo booth". I already owned the photo booth software (Sparkbooth), so everything for this cost me less than $20!
I didn't go heavy on decorations and mostly focused on the dessert table. I bought the banner and some comic books on Etsy and an awesome holographic Justice League picture on sale at Hobby Lobby.
There were lots of desserts, since I love to bake. I started baking 2 weeks in advance and put them in the freezer until the day before the party. I bought candied popcorn from a local business and lollipops from Oriental Trading.
My friend Jackie is a photographer, so she graciously offered to photograph the party in exchange for some of my custom desserts!
I'm really excited about how this turned out, since it was done on a pretty tight budget! Spreading out the buying, waiting for free shipping deals, and going to the Dollar Store really helped keep this party from breaking the bank!
